Chimney Crown

Similar to chimney caps, chimney crowns are on the top of the chimney. They are not prefabricated and are found in case of masonry chimney. It covers the opening of the chimney and from the cap, the smoke emerges out. It is the main barrier between the chimney and the outside atmosphere.

Chimney Flashing

The region where the chimney and the roof coincide has flashing – which is done to prevent moisture penetration. Typically, it can be made using steel, copper, vinyl etc.

Chimney liners are along the wall of the chimney and are typically made using stainless, steel or clay. They are responsible for driving the smoke up and out of the chimney system. it can be very rigid or versatile to fit your chimney perfectly.

Fireplace

The fireplace typically comprises of firebox and hearth. In this region, the actual fire is lit and it can also involve a few other components such as mantel, glass doors or an insert for the fireplace.
